What is not included in the price?

How much money will I need to bring?
You will need extra money for the non-organized meals, extra drinks or any shopping you want to do.
Are lunches organized?
- Painting holiday - We organize lunches at good prices for those who wish to join the group, offering local dishes. You only have to tell us the same morning if you want to join.
- Artistic Escapade - We do not organize the meals.
I have special dietary needs. Is that a problem?
No, just mention it in your booking form and we’ll try to organize special menus for you.
What will the weather be like?
The holidays are planned at good weather periods when it’s not too hot or too cold, however you can check the weather before you came.
What clothes will bring?
Beside thin clothes for warmer days, sweater for the evenings and a light waterproof jacket, you should bring your swimsuits to use in the beach or the hotel swimming pool, a hat and some sun screen. If your course is from October to March , when the weather is more cold, you should bring warmer clothes.
Can my friend or partner come along?
Yes, non-painting partners or friends are very welcome. We can suggest activities to do and they can join in all our sidewalks and excursions. They have a discount according to every painting event.
Can I come on my own?
Yes, of course you can. There’s always a very friendly atmosphere between all event participants as you share a common interest. There are always other people who came alone too.
Will I have to pay a single supplement?
When is the right moment to book my flight?
The Painting Holiday events have been organized on the basis of a minimum number of painters. If this number has not been confirmed until 8 weeks before the start date, we reserve the right to cancel the event giving a full refund of the paid amount. Please contact us before you book your flights to make sure your event is still as scheduled.
The Artistic Escapade program works with any number of painters, so when you decide to come and receive a confirmation mail about the dates, you can book your flight.
Can I stay longer at the hotel?
You can stay longer or arrive early if you wish. We will be pleased to organize your extra nights but these are not included in the holiday price. Please inform us in the booking form.
I cannot walk for a long period of time, is that a problem?
No, there’s usually a little bit of walking involved but on leveled ground. If you have some mobility issues please contact us.
At what time are the transfers?
Painting Holidays - The pick up time from Lisbon airport is at 15:00 to Cascais. On the last day you will leave at 8:30 in order to be at Lisbon airport at 9:30.
Please book your flights accordingly.
Artistic Escapade - The pick up time from Lisbon airport starts at 9:30 to Cascais. On the last day you will leave at 9:00 in order to be at Lisbon airport at 9:30. Please do not book flights earlier or you should have your own transfer.
I am a beginner, can I still attend?
Yes. Most of our workshops are for all levels. Please confirm this in the Event Detail.
What size is the group?
Normally they’re between 8-12 people, but depends on the workshop.
What art material will I need to bring?
Prior to your workshop we will send you a list of art material that your tutor recommends.
Do I have to bring easels or chairs?
No, we provides easels, chairs, stools and boards free of charge so you can travel light. Please let us know if you want to reserve easel, stools or board, in the booking form.
Can I buy some art material?
Yes, there is an excellent art shop in Cascais near to our workshop studio.
