Cascais was once a small fishing village but its beautiful views and beaches attracted the attention of nobility in the 20th century. Now is a traditional and charming town with a rich history and culture.

The accommodation was in Hotel Baía in front of Cascais Bay with his wonderful view facing the sea.
On the arrival day we had a welcome dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 - In the studio Michael gave us the first technical advices .
Day 3 - We went to Cabo da Roca, the most occidental point in Continental Europe. The lighthouse overlooking the promontory towards Atlantic Ocean started the operation in 1772.
We did our first plein air painting facing Praia da Ursa. It was a very hot day, so it was a very great challenge!
After a light lunch we went to Azenhas do Mar, a very beautiful small coastal town situated in the top of a cliff by the sea with wide houses.
After an awesome sunset we went to a typical restaurant to have dinner.
Day 4 - Studio day learning more watercolor technics and composition with Michael
Day 5 - Trip to Sintra - We visited the historic center of the Vila de Sintra. Sintra is famous for its 19th - century Romanticist architecture, villas and gardens, royal palaces and castles which resulted in the classification of the town as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Day 6 - Morning - Cascais plein air in Parque Marechal Carmona
Afternoon - The weather was not so pleasant but we went to the beach painting the boats in the sea.
